ὥς
ὥς (1): by anastrophe for Od. 18.2, when it follows its subst. In such cases the preceding short syllable is usuaily lengthened, ὄρνῖθες ψώς (end of verse).
ὥς (2) (ὧς after οὐδ and καί): thus, so, in this way; often καὶ ὧς, ‘even thus’ (οὐδ' ὧς, ‘not even thus’), i. e. nevertheless (not).
